Shift modifies targeting with selecting nearest ship, next escort and talking to planets. If anyone puts together a good profile for XPadder, shoot a comment on the guide! XPadder can get around that issue if you prefer controllers but I am unsure as to how well that would go. If anyone happens to know how to integrate XInput to the (seemingly custom) engine that the game runs on, we could potentially get full controller support. So far, the default key scheme is quite intuitive. Default Keys are as follows:įairly short list, all in all. Looking at the preferences won't really divulge all too much. If you are on high DPI monitors or at resolutions like 4K and such, there is an official mod found on the Steam Store page that will give you assets much easier to see at (much) higher resolutions. I NEED MORE FIREPOWER!, no problem m8 we will just add more turret slots so you can have more guns. After downloading and installing, it's a quick process to start the game and is fairly straight forward. Why get those lousy cargo and outfit expansions when you can expand them for free and without the extra mass! Refueling takes too long so why not increase your fuel capacity?Įver wanted to have a fighter bay for a ship that normally wouldn’t carry one? Well I got a solution for thatĭon’t want to take the time to explore the whole galaxy? Just Copy and Paste the map (Provided in the next section.) WELL NO LONGER INTRODUCING GODMODE STAR BARGE (your account tab will be located right after your ship(s))ĭo you hate how easily star barges are killed. Well there is a lot more things you can do to cheat then just spawning stuff in, you can give yourself a ton of credits, Tip 11: Adding too many zeros to your credits will make it be 0, i reccomend having no more then 20 digits (so no more then 99999999999999999999) that may not be the max but i know that adding like 100 zeros makes it 0 for some reason. Tip 10: if you are Mustering fighters for your fleet keep in mind that the mass of the fighter will be added into the mass of the ship carrying them, just like outfits in tip 9. Tip 9: Adding Lots Of Outfits also Adds Lots Of Weight, so make sure you get enough engines so you aren’t stuck at 0.000000001 MPH (exaggerated measurement) Tip 8: make sure when you are done editing to save and close cause if you go to cheat again after playing in game, without closing the file, the file wont update what you did in between your last edit to the file, so if you save it again the progress you previously made in game will be lost. Tip 7: Update your backup file often, if you’re like me and have terrible typing accuracy id recommend backing up your file very often and doing changes in smaller increments so it’s easier to pinpoint exactly where you went wrong. Tip 6: when in doubt load the backup file, if you are having a glitch and you don’t know why, the problem is most likely an error in the file, so unless you know what you did wrong I would recommend just loading the backup file to save time Tip 5: when cheating in a fleet start with one ship mod it to your satisfaction and then copy and paste it instead of doing it one by one Tip 4: when cheating in engines, weapons, or generators, make sure you have cooling systems and enough crew to accommodate the extra outfits. Or else you could disable that particular ship (if the hull is less than or equal to 10% of the maximum hull) Make sure to change it in the ships properties Tip 3: When editing a ships maximum shield, and or hull, Tip 2: Take Your Time, don’t rush through when your editing the file because it can get really complicated and if one single letter is off you could cause the risk of not being able to start your game. The best thing about a backup file is when you do mess something up you can go back and start again. it’s really easy and takes 30 seconds for you to copy and paste the entire file. Tip 1: one thing you should always do is MAKE A BACKUP FILE you will regret it later if you mess something up, take it from a guy who's been there, don't make my mistakes and just make a backup file.
