![]() ![]() If you're in it entirely for the graphics, go for it. Bottom line? $60 artwork, $20 gameplay, $5 fun factor, $1 story. It's completely braindead in it's design and getting loot doesn't even feel good. ![]() Then at max level, there's even further "enhanced" versions of all the bosses. The end game is literally "enhanced" versions of all the story bosses and mini-bosses, except they have more AoE and ground effects. And with combo moves and an overabundance of invulnerability/invisibility/flying phases mixed with ground effects, getting hit into ground fire (which I swear 90% of the bosses use) makes you burn, then a follow up kills you while you lay in the fire. By the end game, even with a balance of might and vitality, getting 2-3 shot by virtually every boss is a given. Parry and dodge both can't be activated during an attack. So you like that greatsword or hammer? Get ready to be animation locked for over a second every time you hit a button. It's clunky and frustrating, and so full of particle effects that when 4-5 enemies are around you can barely see what you're doing. Also, there's NO God of War combat, Destiny style loot, and a story most 3rd graders could write in an hour. God of War combat, Destiny style loot, and a story most 3rd graders could write in an hour. Go better buy smth else or just watch TV. TL DR take Destiny and Souls gameplay, make it as boring as you can, cut off everything, don't bother with storyline at all, sell it with full price AAA project. "Location bosses" and "Act bosses" are mostly mannequins, it takes ~30 seconds to learn the attack pattern while dodging around. Thrash mobs are thrash, they are just there for slowing down your mapping experience. Re-roll is for free, you can't ruin anything. Resistances, spirit, vitality, might? Don't even bother. You can max out anything - you still don't need anything besides dodge lvl 1 and nothern techniques lvl 1. Skills - oh god why? The most basic skill tree ever. Take any from the floor - equip and repeat the mapping. Life stones, charms, banners - don't even bother. There's no need in crafting valorplates, you can finish the campaign with a starting one on "hard" difficulty. ![]() ![]() And it's a disaster for an ARPG game, especially if you like minmaxing your gear and stats. Graphics - It's acceptable, could be better, but it is what it is. At least your average school essay "How I spent my summer on lockdown" would be much more interesting. I think there are smth like ~70 maximum sentences overall been written to tell you the whole story, though it's enough - there's no story. Go kill bad guys, go grind boring missions to get "quest items" to open bad guys locations, repeat x10. Though there are bugs and glitches, some are really annoying: when you kill the boss and follow-up quest just doesn't start, so you have to abandon a mission and repeat from the beginning.
